We are pleased to present our first annual Sustainability Report, covering calendar year 2020. With this report we provide a comprehensive overview of our performance, documenting our commitment to sustainable solutions and illustrating the value EdgeConneX creates for our clients, our stakeholders, and the global community. Subsequent reports will be measured against the baselines established in this initial edition.

EdgeConneX is pleased to publish our Green Finance Framework and accompanying Second-Party Opinion. These documents serve to illustrate our commitment that any Green Finance Instruments issued under this Framework are expected to support the financing or refinancing of Eligible Green Assets that are intended to provide clear environmental benefits. EdgeConnex intends to allocate an amount equal to 100% of the green financing net proceeds to a portfolio of Eligible Green investments that meet the eligibility criteria set out in the framework. EdgeConnex also maps the project categories to the United Nations SDGs.

At EdgeConneX, we are committed to undergoing a sustainable transformation by 2030. As part of this strategy, we want to become a carbon neutral datacentre platform by 2030. For EdgeConneX, procurement of products, goods and services makes up a large part of our scope 3 emissions. Almost 50% of our emissions originate from procurement. Sustainable procurement therefore contributes significantly to our “net zero” ambitions. This strategy document outlines the aims, scope, and guiding principles for our procurement policies and our expectations for partners and suppliers.

News Update: EdgeConneX Secures $150 Million in Sustainability-linked Financing to Support Latin America Expansion Beginning in Chile

October 13, 2022 – EdgeConneX^® announces it has secured $150 million in sustainability-linked financing for Latin America. The loan refinances outstanding indebtedness and is designed to be used as a financing platform for the company’s future activity in Latin America, including Chile and Colombia.  The loan facility further promotes EdgeConneX sustainability objectives, incentivizing outperformance on data center energy efficiency, renewable energy consumption, and environmental certification.

The latest sustainability-linked financing comes after EdgeConneX secured a series of sustainability-linked financings totaling $1.7 Billion earlier this year. These transactions highlight EdgeConneX market leadership and commitment to ESG as part of its Customers, People, Planet core values, and environmental stewardship.
